WESTWEGO – McGill-Toolen captured the State Bracket championship at the 11th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic with a 60-51 victory over Ellender in the title game Saturday in a game aired live on Crescent City Sports.
The Yellow Jackets (18-3) took a 13-8 lead after one quarter, a quarter with three lead changes and led 26-21 at halftime after a second quarter with three more lead changes.
The third quarter saw four more lead changes before McGill-Toolen grabbed a 42-40 lead at the end of the third quarter.
