What is the best way to describe The Dunham School’s game at University High on Friday night? Is it simply the chance for two former district rivals to renew a rivalry?

11th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic
It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2021 Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic.
However, the safety of our players, coaches, officials, staff, fans, and Alario Center staff, and Jefferson Parish police officers is our top priority.
We thank the Jefferson Parish Council, the Parish President’s office, and the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau for their unwavering support.
And, the last 11 years would not be possible without our outstanding title sponsor, the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
We are already looking forward to January 5th thru the 8th, 2022.
The tournament cannot get here soon enough.
Please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Best,
Ed Daniels
Tournament Director
Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic

If you ask West Ouachita girls head coach Jimbo Murphy, the Lady Chiefs’ opponent Friday night has a legitimate chance of winning it all.

Lee High girls basketball coach Valencia Wilson sees her team’s ambitious schedule this week as the latter.

Ed Daniels, the Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic Tournament Director and Kristy Hebert, the Tournament Coordinator, would like to recognize and thank all the people that helped the 10th Annual tournament run smoothly.

You can watch all four championship games of the 10th annual Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic today from the Alario Center in Westwego at CrescentCitySports.com.

The Lady Tors hang on to win, 41-28, to advance to play the winner of Lafayette Christian and John Curtis.
